October 8th, 09.30 New York, everything is packed and ready for my short trip. First stop: Times Square, getting a nice mug in one of the tourist shops there :) It was not easy to find an at least nice looking one. But I managed it and I also managed to get a Taxi to Newark Airport. I had a really nice chat with my taxi driver who is used to be a writer, when not sitting in a cab. He told me a lot really interesting stuff about being a taxi driver in Manhattan. Unfortunately I forgot his name… I’m sorry. But I gave him the address to my website, so he might read this and if so, you want to write a comment with your name below please :).

Stephanie and me went to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for the piece Vollmond of Pina Bausch. The play was part of the New Wave Festival at BAM and we where really lucky to get tickets because they were on really high demand.
After getting to Brooklyn, which was not that easy cause of certain circumstances like a not working ATM or a Q train which just stops in the middle of the track or a taxi driver who couldn’t find 30 Lafayette street or the two buildings of BAM one block away form each other…
It was an absolutely amazing and beautiful show!

The irony that Wired, a magazine founded to chronicle the digital revolution, has traditionally come to you each month on the smooshed atoms of dead trees is not lost on us. Let’s just say the medium is not always the message.
Except that now it is. I’m delighted to announce that Wired’s first digital edition is now available for the iPad and soon for nearly all other tablets. We have always made our stories accessible online at Wired.com, but as successful as the site is, it is not a magazine…
